Sloppy Joe Pop Overs

This recipe is about as kid-friendly as they get.  And, bonus for the people who have to clean the little people up – it’s not all that sloppy.  I’ve made these several times, and the kids always eat them.  Score! Pair with a side of veggies, and it’s a quick no fuss meal.  Another bonus – if you have a little chef in the making, this recipe is great for little helpers.

Sloppy Joe Pop Overs

Servings = 16

Weight Watchers Points+ = 3

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 can Pilsbury Grands! Reduced Fat Biscuits
  • 8 slices 2% American cheese
  • 1/2 can (7.5 oz) Hunt’s Manwich Original Sloppy Joe Sauce

Instructions:

Heat oven to 350°.

Brown and crumble ground beef.  Drain excess grease.

Pour in Manwich sauce, stir, and simmer.

Open the can of biscuits and divide each in half, top from bottom.

On a greased baking sheet, evenly space the biscuit halves.  Place a spoonful of meat and half a slice of cheese.  Fold the biscuit onto itself and seal. Repeat for all biscuits.

Bake until biscuits are golden brown – about 15 minutes.
